CommonCent$ – FREE COLLEGE CREDITS ARE OFFERED BUT MANY FAIL TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS VALUABLE RESOURCE

One step in earning a Debt Free College Degree is taking advantage of the FREE resources that are already available. In a recent conversation with a high school guidance counselor, my wife learned about the wide variety of programs offered in a Washington, DC area local public school system. S.T.E.M. programs and other trade programs are offered “for free” and many students don’t take advantage of them. Providing these classes “for free” has become a practice commonly offered to students nationwide.

The dual enrollment is another program that allows public high school students to earn college credits “for free” while still attending high school. Again, many families neglect to take advantage of this “free” program. Private and home schooled students can participate at a reduced rate. Taking advantage of what’s available can save thousands of dollars in college expenses and can help a student discover a career interest sooner. It only makes CommonCent$ to maximize the educational opportunities that are offered at no additional or drastically reduced costs.

Be sure to check with your high school guidance counselor for details about these programs.
